DESCRIPTION:Join the Dance Network Association for Dancing with Dementia. \nDancing with Dementia classes offer a chance for participants to experience creative movement and dance with their companions. Classes focus on stimulation of the brain through movement\, repetition\, props and musical timelines. These factors offer the opportunity to keep the mind alert whilst also unlocking support for general well-being.\n​\nSessions run for 1.5 hours in total which includes a 45 – 60 minute dance class and concludes with a social over tea & coffee.

DESCRIPTION:The Local Linked Support (LLS) team at Essex County Council works with the adult to meet their own outcomes through connecting with community resources and opportunities. We work alongside the adult to understand what is most important to them\, supporting to plan the next steps to achieve their goals and aspirations. The LLS team offers short term support for up to four months to adults with a learning disability\nand/or autism and their carers who are not in receipt of commissioned care and support through Adult Social Care. \nA formal diagnosis is not required\, though if the primary needs arise from a physical or mental impairment/illness\, LLS would not be the appropriate referral pathway.
