12 year-old fundraiser targets £150.00 for The Witham Hub’s Defibrillator campaign

12 year-old Isabelle, a regular volunteer at The Witham Hub and a passionate fundraiser, has set herself the challenge of raising £150.00 toward the purchase of a new defibrillator as part of The Hub’s ongoing campaign to install ten defibrillators in the Town, currently standing at eight. Throughout November, Izzy will be ‘Hopping for Hearts’ every day to support the campaign and her goal is to complete at least 100 hops daily to contribute to the defibrillator campaign and she has high hopes of raising her target of £150.00.

Izzy said:  “I have learned all about the critical importance of defibrillators in saving lives during heart attacks and that it doesn’t matter how old you are, you can have a heart attack at any age, making it all the more important that The Hub succeeds with its campaign target of ten defibrillators in the Town.” To keep everyone updated on her progress, Izzy is sharing videos online of her daily hopping sessions on Pay It Forward – Witham.

Tina Townsend, Chair of Trustees at The Witham Hub said: “We are so grateful to Izzy for her fundraising efforts and for all the time she spends with us volunteering.  She is an absolute model citizen, despite still being so young.”
